Buda Juniors Christmas Party on Saturday 10th December at Csilleberc
This year’s party was great fun!

Many thanks to the MARRIOTT HOTEL for providing some fantastic hospitality.

And many thanks to the parents who donated prizes for the TOMBOLA.

SANTA had a lovely time with you all and is already planning his visit in 2012...

We are 10 years old!
10 years ago – on Saturday 8th September 2001 - Buda Juniors FC started with an open day and three days later on the 11th we had our first training session. So yes we are 10 years old!!!

Thanks to all who have helped, supported us, trained, played and enjoyed the time - even if it was short - with us! Special thanks to all the coaches and staff who helped achieve what we have.

We are very happy and proud of our more than 1200 kids out there worldwide (including our current 241) - they are all Buda Juniors. We hope to have lots more children we can work with and lots more years ahead.

Birthday Party on Saturday 17th September
Our 10th Birthday...WOW what a day! Beautiful weather, hundreds of kids, parents and friends, great food and fun :) Thank you all so much for making the day a truly special one in the history of Buda Juniors. To all the kids and adults for taking part, to Marriott Budapest for providing wonderful food for everyone, to MoveOne and First Med for delighting the kids with Bouncy Castles, to Tesco for providing great prizes for the competitions, to Tetra Pak and Chevrolet for helping, to the clown and face painter for keeping the smiles on everybody’s face, to our helpers, photographers and our STAFF who ensured the day ran as smoothly as possible!!!

We are incredibly grateful to you all for being part of Buda Juniors and hope to continue to enjoy great fun and football with you in the future.

Special congratulations to all who took part in our competitions... Nick Humphries for being the quickest round our obstacle course and Till Stemmer for being the deadliest from the spot in our Penalty Shootout. The family World Cup was a huge success with a total of 33 teams competing! The final was a thrilling encounter with Team Trinder (Paul, Tom and Bruno Brazda) coming from 2 down to win 4-2 against the Okubo family (Hiro, Kureha, Kaede and Shuhei)!
PENALTY SHOOTOUT COMPETITION - Till Stemmer
3v3 FAMILY MINI WORLD CUP - Team Trinder
OBSTACLE TIME TRIAL - Nick Humphries

FOOD AND FUN!!! Many thanks to our premium partner Marriott Hotel who provided lots of food to make sure nobody went hungry.

UEFA's cameras came to training and made a film about Buda Juniors

1000th member signs up to Buda Juniors!
Recently something very special indeed happened in the life of Buda Juniors. Our 1000th member registered!

When we began the club way back in 2001 we imagined reaching this landmark but we weren't 100% sure that we would, especially not so soon! It's thanks to the hard work of our fantastic coaches and staff, as well as the enthusiasm for football shown by all of our members, their parents and our wonderful sponsors that we have teached this point so quickly. Thank you everyone!

We would therefore like to congratulate five-year-old Parker McCausland for being Buda Juniors' 1000th member! And to acknowledge what a special occasion this is, we made a special cake for everyone to enjoy at training.

But of course, this is just the start! We plan to keep going until we reach the 2000th member, then the 5000th, then the 10000th! :) So thanks again for all of your continued support of Buda Juniors.

Florian plays at Aston Villa - a Buda Junior experiences the big time!
Having trained Florian Skene for the past seven seasons, we were delighted when the Aston Villa youth academy invited him to play in an under 17 match in May 2009, after having watched Villa take on Hull in the Premier League. Florian loved the whole trip and he has come back more inspired than ever before to make it as a professional - and we will continue to help him as much as we can. Well done, Florian!

Cardiff honour for Buda Juniors kids
Two of our members were invited to go to Cardiff, Wales to take part in the final presentation of Hungary and Croatia's bid to host Euro 2012. The event took place on Wednesday 18th April 2008 and was attended by the who's who of European football. This is a great honour for the club to be asked to help in this way. Unfortunately our two members, Bence and Nicole, didn't manage to help bring the European Championships to Hungary - the judges picked the bid from Poland and Ukraine instead. Below are some photos from the press conference in Hungary before they jetted off to Cardiff.

Anyone for cricket?
Our coach Andrew Leckonby and our webmaster Andy Grieve are looking for more players for regular matches in Budapest.

Have you ever played? Would you like to? If you are interested, talk to Andrew at training or you can find all the info at www.hungary4cricket.com

Parental guidelines
We need your help to make sure that coaching so many kids runs smoothly, so please read the following guidelines carefully:

do not let other children or dogs run onto the training area
do not let your children move the cones or goals, as we position them for training purposes
ask a member of the Buda Juniors staff if you want to borrow a ball
play with your other children in another area of the pitch, away from the training
stand well back from the training or match area

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Plans for our own pitch
For various reasons we want to expand the club and move away from Csilleberc. We are drawing up plans for what we need and we are looking for a piece of land that will suit them. With our own facilities we could hold more training sessions and offer different times to fit in with the busy schedules of our members and their families, as well as secure the future of Buda Juniors.
