Just one goal in the first half as Hamburg took
the lead through Simon from Sam's crossfield pass.
The second half was end-to-end stuff as first Max
H equalized from Till's cross from the right wing.
Almost immediately it was good work from Sam on
the wing, whose centre found Max F and he made no
mistake with a nice finish. Aron then doubled Hamburg's
lead, collecting Yuki's pass 20 metres out and smashing
an unstoppable shot past Thorben. It seemed a victory
was assured for Hamburg but a crazy last two minutes
nearly cost them dearly...
Chelsea
seemed dead and buried but were handed a lifeline
when Alec chopped down Till with the goal at his
mercy with just two minutes on the clock. Till picked
himself up and dispatched the penalty emphatically,
low to Glenn's right. Chelsea's tails were up and
they equalized for the second time with great footwork
from Till again setting Max H up to toe poke home!!!
But this game had one more twist as Hamburg won
a corner on the left. Sam whipped in a great ball
which evaded a clutch of players at the front post
and Yuki pounced to win the game with the last kick
of a fantastic game of football!!

How could the first game be followed??? Well with
another 4 goals and a win for Hamburg! As expected,
Villareal flew out of the traps against a Hamburg
team who were a little tired after their first match.
Niklas opened the scoring soaring high to power
a
great header into the corner from Peti's free-kick.
But Hamburg levelled as Sam pounced on a poor clearance
by Sven to find the near corner with his trusted
left
boot. Villareal will rue the chances they missed
before half-time as Jan, Peti and Adam pushed hard
for a goal.
The
break seemed to help Hamburg catch their breath
and they got a bit of luck to take the lead. Aron's
corner was a good one and, under pressure from Max
F, it was Edgar's head which diverted the ball past
Sven. Hamburg pressed home their advantage soon
after through a great solo goal from Simon. He picked
up a loose ball in midfield and rounded David before
racing clear of the defence and finishing cooly
to in far corner. Max F added a fourth to give the
scoreline a somewhat flattering look as he pounced
on a rebound when Sven parried Lewis' shot. So two
wins from two and a massive eight goals scored...
a good start for Hamburg for the rest of the tournament

It seems from the first three games that only four
goals will guarantee a victory..! No lessons learned
from the last moment of Chelsea's first match, as
again a corner wasn't defended. Jan floated the
ball in and Bernardo was left all alone to finish
past an exposed Thorben. Two identical goals from
Jan, as he skipped past half-hearted tackles and
smashed the ball across Thorben and into the corner,
left Chelsea with a mountain to climb in the second
half.
But
as in the first game, Till dragged Chelsea back
into the game by first drilling a loose ball through
Sven's legs with his left foot. Next his great dribble
and shot fell kindly for Soma to tap in the rebound.
It seemed another unlikely comeback was on the cards
as Lars and Soma went close as Chelsea piled forward.
But again in the last seconds Chelsea were denied,
as a quick break and speculative long-range effort
from Peti thundered off the bar and Marcel was on
hand to rise highest and head into the empty net
