When
is the football season?
We train from August until June every year, with
a three-week winter break and a one-week Summer Camp. Check the calendar for up-to-date info.
Does
my son or daughter need any previous experience to
join Buda Juniors?
No, we train children of any ability between the
ages of 4 and 19. We split members into 6 groups,
so that they train with children of a similar level
in terms of football skills. Read more
about our groups.
How
can my child join Buda Juniors?
First
contact us, then arrange for your child to come for
a free trial session. Click here
to find out more. Please do not turn up without contacting
us first, as sometimes we change the training time
or venue.
Where are the Buda Juniors training sessions held?
At Csilleberc, which is a large sports complex in the forests of the Buda hills in the 12th district. Click here for directions.
Why do Buda Juniors sometimes train indoors even when the weather is good?
We play outdoors as much as possible, but the decision depends on the weather and the state of the grass. Also sometimes Csilleberc books the pitch out to other groups.
At
what times are the regular training sessions?
We
train on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during
the season. The groups train at different times to
make sure that each gets the right amount of space
and coach attention. We also have different times for winter training. Check the tables here
for all the details.
How
much does it cost?
The
groups run for different lengths of time, so are priced
differently. You can save up to 10% by paying in advance and there is a 20% family discount. Please talk to our administrator Kriszta to find out how much you would pay.
When
and how do I pay?
We
have four payment options - click here to read about them.
Right now, we can only accept cash, but we are looking
into other payment methods. Kriszta
will be happy to help you at one of the training sessions.
Are
the Buda Juniors coaches qualified?
Our coaches are chosen not only for their football
experience, but also their ability to work with children.
The head coach, Janos Banfi, is qualified with the
UEFA B coaching licence and is a former captain of
the Hungarian national football team. To read more
about Janos and our other coaches, click here.
When
was Buda Juniors founded?
In September 2001, so we are now very well established. For a brief history, click here.
Do
you play matches?
Yes,
we do. We play friendly matches against Hungarian youth teams and we participate in tournaments. Most groups (and hence most members) are involved in these matches. You
can read about this season's fixtures and the reports of previous matches here.
What
happens when a child is injured?
We have a medical kit available at every training
session and some of our coaches are qualified in first
aid. If the injury is more serious, we call on our
sponsor FirstMed Centers for assistance. To read
more about our three-step injury system, click here.
